I have a Bachelors of Science from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan in Information Security and Intelligence with a custom concentration on Penetration Testing and Secure Software Development. This was obtained in December of 2017.

 

Following graduation, I obtained five years of experience in protecting the network at a Fortune 500 insurance company. This gave me a solid understanding of how to navigate protecting an enterprise-grade environment and experience in navigating a corporate setting.

 

For the final year of tenure at the Fortune 500 insurance company I focused on building a new Application Security team at the company. This focused on developing and implementing strategies to secure the existing SDLC and build pipelines. Additionally, strategies were developed to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in source code written by the large internal development teams. Finally, system administration duties required full management of SonarQube's static code analysis tool.

 

In February of 2023, I moved to Sentinel Technologies where I started a career in penetration testing. With an above 80% average across all tests where domain administrative privileges were obtained, I pride myself on being not only an effective presenter, delivering results and reports that please customers, but also on being an effective penetration tester at a technical level.

 

Having both offensive and defensive security knowledge and understanding, I feel like an effective IT Security professional that is an asset to any company.
